DESCRIPTION

45 Jones Street, Ultimo is a landmark building of significance - a cornerstone structure with its own blend of Australian history. Designed by the architect Herbert E Ross, who also designed the Commonwealth Bank Building in Martin Place, the original 5 level federation style warehouse was purpose built for the Co-operative Wool and Produce Company in 1899 on a former quarry site. By 1911 after additions including 2 floors, the building had a capacity for storage of up to 50,000 bales of wool making it the largest single wool store in Sydney at the time. The property was purchased by Toga Group in 2005 who then refurbished the building and upgraded its facilities and equipment using award winning architects Bates Smart. As a result of these works the building was recently awarded a 4.5 star NABERS Rating

This area of Ultimo is thought to be difficult to reach through public transport - alas with the arrival of the light rail this is no longer the case. See below the plentiful public transport options. Light Rail Situated only 350m from Wentworth Park and Exhibition Centre stops, the Dulwich Hill Lightrail runs along the inner west of Sydney with stops connecting to other major transport routes at Pyrmont Bay (Ferry) and Central Station (Multiple Train Lines). Cycling With End of Trip Facilities and onsite bike racks the option to cycle to work is enticing. 45 Jones is located in close proximity to dedicated cycling routes and pathways. Bus A short walk to Harris Street or Broadway will connect you to plenty of bus routes. Train Town Hall Station is the closest station by foot, with Central Station being easily accessible by lightrail and foot. Ferry Pyrmont Bay Wharf has the Ferry line F4 which reaches Barangaroo Wharf 1, Balmain East Wharf, McMahons Point Wharf, Milsons Point Wharf, Circular Quay, Wharf 2, Rose Bay Wharf and Watsons Bay Wharf.
